The Public Housing Program is designed to provide decent, safe, and sanitary housing for eligible low-income families or individuals. Federal aid is provided to local housing authorities, such as Hocking Metropolitan Housing Authority, in turn, HMHA manages housing low-income residents by establishing rents within their financial capabilities.

The High Rise Apartment building was built in 1975 and is located in the heart of Logan. The building features 71 one-bedroom (1) apartments. The amount of rent a client pays is based on their income. The High Rise also has a community room, workout equipment, and an outside patio area. 

 

To be considered eligible for a Public Housing unit, applicants must;

  • Meet income guidelines.

  • Pass a criminal background check going back seven (7) years.

  • Having less than five (5) utility collections on credit background, medical, and student loans are not counted.

  • Pass a reference check done by an HMHA property manager.

  • Household members must be a citizen or legal residents of the U.S.
